According to Kolbe to accomplish ‘complete learning’, an individual needs to pass through four stages:
Experience: having an experience, conscious or unconscious.
Reflect: review the experience - what actually happened?
Give meaning: conclude from the experience - why did it happen; formulate theories or link to new theories (this stage defines the learning)
Planning: consider subsequent steps; plan to do things that worked and how to change or improve those that didn’t; plan opportunities to implement change.
